- year 2005
This sans-serif typeface drawing is based on a font (Aurora) used in a large number of Dada documents printed at the beginning of the 20th Century. This “grotesque” typeface’s singularity comes from its drawing and from certain of its shapes’ fragility. The first version of Dada Grotesk was created and used in 2005 on the occasion of «Dada» exhibition at Centre Pompidou for the exhibition catalogue and signage. Then, we reinterpreted, stabilized and digitized its drawing in order to develop a fonts family composed of five weights. Dada Grotesk is marketed by Swiss foundry Optimo since 2008.
